I’m two weeks into my course now and I think I’ve fallen in love with this place and the people here in Los Angeles 🇺🇸
These two weeks have honesty felt like a month it’s gone so slow, but I’ve enjoyed every second of it!!!

To start of the course, all the Dream Center Leadership School students took part in Serve24. This is a project where the Dream Center serves the surrounding community for 24 hours straight. This included projects such as a carnival for families, paying for people’s laundry and petrol and praying for the homeless on skid row etc. It was such an amazing and eye opening experience and really got me excited for what the next 9 months is going to have in store!

After having a week of orientation, which was all about the Dream Center, staff, all we will be doing and all that is expected of us. We have finally gotten into the swing of things and it’s crazy how much I have already learnt from being here! And for once, I’m actually excited to get my homework done!!!!

As for general settling in to a new environment God has seriously blessed me in ways I couldn’t of even imagined, in particular surrounding me with an amazing group of friends that I already know are going to be friendships I will have beyond these next nine months.

Really these few weeks have been about settling in, learning more about the Dream Center, the Leasership School and the environment around me (yes I have already found the beach, mall, Starbucks … And yes, A&E!!!!)

Here are a few pictures to show you what I’ve been up to….

There is so much going on at DCLS and they really stretch us in as many ways as possible, which means I am extremely busy! So I will be posting as often as I can!

If you want to see any more pictures, or just to keep up to date with me on a more regular basis, find me on Instagram:

I got accepted!

This has to be the best acceptance letter I have ever got. Opening the letter that the balloon was inside of was the most terrifying thing I have done… ever… and then to only see a balloon inside, I was slightly disappointed. Only two thoughts went through my head 1. It’s just a silly freebie 2. It’s a pity balloon. Luckily I was completely wrong and pleasantly surprised when I blew the balloon up and saw the word 'CONGRATULATIONS'. I literally had a smile that couldn’t be wiped off for at least the next 24 hours. Best post I have had in a while. Bring on September 2014 // Class Ximage
